Father's Day in Courtenay

Although we thought we may not make it to Comox this weekend because our flight from Calgary was cancelled at the last minute due to a lightning strike to the airplane, we did manage to scramble & get a flight to Nanaimo via Vancouver. From there an oldtime friend of Murray's dad's was able to pick us up & deliver us to Kim & Yan's in Courtenay. Wouldn't you know it had to happen when we had Murray's folks with us but they survived the trip fairly well.Nicholas got to meet his Grandpa Sankey for the first time.
And his great- grandma.......and his great-grandpa!
On Sunday at the park, Nicholas was dedicated to he Lord by Pastor Fritz.

This happy family includes 4 generations!
Many thanks to Yan & Kim for a wonderful time and for the best grandson in the whole world!!!
We stayed with Scott in Calgary Sunday night and arrived home Monday to find we had substantial rain while we were away. Always a nice surprise!

Glad to hear that you were able to make it - what a stress from Calgary!!!! Looks like everyone had a wonderful time and it will be a father's day weekend long remembered. Wasn't it a nice surprise to come back with everything sooooo green? I'm enjoying cutting the grass around the puddles! See you soon. Can't wait to see pictures of the weekend.
