April Snow

On Tuesday & Wednesday we had a spring snowstorm that left us with about 10 inches of heavy wet snow and a power outage of about 16 hours. Our mugo pine trees were pretty flat. This is what Murray saw Wed morning when he went to feed

Calves born outside didn't look too happy to say the least
Steven K. ready to bring this one in.

Bringing in more wet, cold calves

In the barn they were bedded in dry straw & warmed up before going back outside. What a chore.

Hopefully your pines survived and didn't break!! They were really flat - that's the only thing about having no trees here, don't have to worry about them!! Those poor little calves :( They must have been much happier in the barn.

Wow, you certainly did get SOME snow!! So glad it didn't happen when we were there. Poor little calves. Hope they all made it.

Such wet, cold conditions. I would like to see what the area looks like now that the water has come. When summer actually comes, everything should really grow.
