On Tuesday & Wednesday we had a spring snowstorm that left us with about 10 inches of heavy wet snow and a power outage of about 16 hours. Our mugo pine trees were pretty flat.
This is what Murray saw Wed morning when he went to feed
Calves born outside didn't look too happy to say the leastSteven K. ready to bring this one in.
Bringing in more wet, cold calves
Waiting to open gifts.
Kim & I had stayed up late Friday decorating
More of the cake we were so pleased with. ( and Nic was suitably impressed also!)
Enjoying the cake

Nicholas got to experience the real thing.
He even got to steer the Buck.
Little boots join big boots after a day in the muck. Grandpa couldn't have been happier!
He also helped us with numerous other projects around the house. Thanks, Ken. It was a treat to have your expertise and ingenuity!
Ev cheerfully helped in the kitchen & washed up dishes as I unpacked them from boxes to put away. We had a great time working & laughing!
Mom spent some time here with us as well & made us fresh perogies. Yum!
Ev, Mom & me.
